גרדם

גַּרְדֵּם(Parel of גדם) to cut off, to lop.Ithpa. אִיגַּרְדֵּם 1) to be lopped. Men.38b איג׳ תכלתוכ׳ if the blue fringe has been lopped off, but the white remains Ib. 39a גרדומין דאִיגַּרְדּוּם אִיגַּרְדּוּמֵי does not gardumau intimate that they (the fringes) are entirely cut off (leaving no remnant)? 2) אִיתְגַּרְדִּים, אִיגַּרְדִּים (= גרזם, v. גַּרְזִימִי) to be nibbled at. Targ. Ps. 39:12 היך עמר דאית׳ (Ms. דאיג׳) like wool nibbled at (by moths; h. text כָּעָש).
